Your Rights as a Patient

Right to Access Healthcare

Every individual has the fundamental right to access appropriate healthcare services regardless of their race, religion, gender, age, or socioeconomic status

Right to Privacy & Confidentiality

Your personal and medical information must be kept strictly confidential. Only authorised personnel directly involved in your care will have access to your information

Right to be Informed and Participation in Decisions

You have the right to receive clear information about your health condition, treatment options, and participate actively in decisions regarding your healthcare

Right to Access Medical Records

You have the right to request and review your medical records and obtain copies following proper procedures and applicable regulations

Right to Make Suggestions or Submit Grievances

You have the right to voice concerns, make suggestions, or file complaints without fear of discrimination or retaliation. Your feedback helps to improve services

Right to be Treated with Respect and Dignity

You have the right to be treated with respect, consideration, and dignity at all times by all healthcare staff members

Right to Safe and Effective Care

You have the right to receive care that meets professional standards of quality and safety in healthcare delivery

Your Responsibilities as a Patient

Maintain Good Personal Appearance and Hygiene

Maintain appropriate personal cleanliness and follow basic hygiene practices to support your health and prevent the spread of infections

Meeting Financial
Obligations

Fulfil your financial responsibilities promptly and discuss any payment difficulties with healthcare provide

Provision of Pertinent
Information

Provide accurate and complete information about your medical history, current conditions, medications, and any other relevant health information

Following Healthcare Provider's Rules and Regulations

Comply with facility rules and regulations designed to support quality care and a safe environment for all patients

Refusing Treatment and Accepting Consequences

While you have the right to refuse treatment, you must accept responsibility for the consequences of such decisions after being informed of the potential outcomes

Treat Healthcare Providers with Respect
