LICENSING PROCESS
By obtaining a license from the Health Regulation Authority, you demonstrate your commitment to adhering to regulatory requirements and delivering exceptional care. The licensing process is streamlined and transparent, involving an online application, submission of required documents, facility inspections and thorough review by our management team, then finalized with approval of our Board members.
Below, you will find a step-by-step guide to help you navigate the process efficiently. We encourage you to carefully review the requirements and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate to facilitate a smooth and timely approval. You can also watch our Licensing Process Explainer Video [here].
Steps:
-
Health Care Facility and Spa (HCFS) owners shall apply via our online application process. You can access the application online portal here and fill out the application. A link can also be provided via email.
Below is the list of required documents to be uploaded while applying online.
2. Once the completed online application and application fee have been received, the Health Regulation Authority will contact you to schedule a mutually agreed upon inspection date. Following the inspection, the Inspector will submit a report to our internal team.
3. Once the Inspection report is submitted by the Inspector, a copy will be shared with the Applicant with observations along with designated timelines for the correction of deficiencies, if any.
4. The inspection report along with the facility’s completed application file will then be reviewed by the senior management team of the HRA before being presented at the next available board meeting for approval.
5. Once approved by the Board, a Certificate (Licence) to operate a HCFS with or without conditions is issued by the Health Regulation Authority.
All licences are issued for one year, and the renewal application should be filed at least three months before the licence expires.
